Here’s what’s happening: People are tuning out. They see “unlock your potential” and “imagine a world where…” and immediately know it’s AI-generated nonsense. Sales feels robotic. Connections feel fake. And that’s exactly why being genuinely human is your secret weapon.
Star People – Your Success Hit List
Check this out. When you find someone interesting on LinkedIn – maybe they popped up in your feed or you met them at an event – you need to star them. Here’s how:
- When you connect with someone, always send a note (this creates a conversation thread)
- Hit that star icon in their message
- Now you can filter by starred connections anytime
Pro tip: Focus on around 15 people to really pour into. These are your game changers – the relationships worth investing in.
Your LinkedIn Funnel That Actually Works
Your LinkedIn funnel starts the moment someone connects with you. But don’t hit that generic “Connect” button! Look at their profile first, then add your game changer catchphrase. Mine is “Let’s play.”
Why does this work? In a world of “Hey” and “Hello” that screams copy-paste AI garbage, something different like “Let’s play” makes people curious. They check out your profile, and boom – your funnel is in full effect.
The magic formula isn’t “know, like, trust.” It’s “trust, like, know.” When they trust and like you, they genuinely want to know what you do.
Make sure your:
- Profile pic builds trust
- Headline is clear (mine is “Helping entrepreneurs win every day”)
- Featured posts showcase what you’re selling
- About section clearly states your offer
Now the algorithm starts showing your content in their feed. Every time you post, comment, or like, they see your commercial. They opt into your world out of curiosity, not because you pitch-slapped them.
Go Deeper With Research
